Community” means something different to every person. For some it refers to the immediate neighborhood. For others, the whole world is their community. That’s why The Octane Group supports United Way—they understand each point of view.
United Way is the region’s premiere charitable organization because volunteer-led assessments assure the wisest investment of donor dollars. The result is diverse programs that make a difference in the lives of our co-workers, neighbors, friends, family, and others in need.

Currently, United Way works with its partners to deliver nearly 400 programs and hundreds of services that target community needs centered around the building blocks for a good life: a quality education that leads to stable employment, sufficient income to support a family through retirement, and sound mental and physical health.

The Octane Group is proud to support the United Way us as it continues to address the underlying causes of community problems, transform lives and create opportunities for a good life for all. In October, Women of Tocqueville members conducted their 2nd annual Dreaming of the Future volunteer event with Girls Inc. Volunteers conducted mini break-out sessions with more than 80 girls, ages 12 to 18, mentoring them on the importance of education and how to achieve successful careers. Octane partner Dana Brown is pictured here (3rd from the right, bottom row) with one of the break-out groups.
